GIS Skill Builder UpdatesAdds a new ArcMap group layer which contains the SSURGO special feature lines and points.
Geodata Updates
Certified Wetland DeterminationsThe shapefiles which will contain
digitized wetland determination polygons have been placed on field office
servers. Except in a limited number of test offices, these shapefiles are
currently empty. Digitizing will begin in
2007. (Please see Training Updates below.)
Field Imagery UpdatesNRCS-MI has initiated two efforts to
capture historic field photography as digital imagery. The resulting imagery can
be displayed as raster layers within ArcMap. FSA 35mm Compliance Slides - Various counties currently being scanned.
(Volunteers are currently need for scanning the remaining 35mm slides. Please contact Lynn Sampson, NRCS State Biologist, for more information.)
Training Updates
Certified Wetland Determinations A wetland determination training session has been scheduled for each NRCS-MI area in 2007. A preliminary agenda is available here. The training dates are as follows:
