Michigan NRCS Programs

Food, Conservation and Energy Act of 2008 Final Rules

The U.S. Department of Agriculture has published proposed rules for its conservation programs in the Federal Register. NRCS is seeking public comments on the proposed rules. Proposed rules for other USDA conservation programs will be published in the near future. NRCS-Michigan will post links to each program's proposed rules as they are published. If you believe the rules for a program have already been published but are not linked below, go the Federal Register Home Page and look up the program by name.

Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP) Effective January 15, 2009: Submit comments on or before March 16, 2009
Wetlands Reserve Program (WRP) Effective January 15, 2009: Submit comments on or before March 16, 2009
Healthy Forests Reserve Program Comments must be received on or before February 13, 2009
 Grassland Reserve Program Effective January 21, 2009: Submit comments on or before March 23, 2009
 Wildlife Habitat Incentives Program Effective January 17: Submit comments on or before March 17
 Cooperative Conservation Partnership Initiative Effective March 10: Submit proposals by April 23
